What does tomato, lettuce, cheese, fries… and cocaine all have in common? They go along well with hamburgers! That’s definitely not something one would want to sell to the police as lunch. No worries, though, the daring burger twist from Pablo’s Escoburgers (yes, really) will not endanger their restaurant as the side of cocaine you get with your burgers there is fake.

Sadly, Pablo’s Escoburgers are only available in one (dangerous) place: Australia. Still, it’s quite a novel idea. Pablo’s Escoburgers is a pop-up burger place there and they are killing it with their Pablo Escobar-themed burger servings. Their speciality, or hook, are burgers served with a line of a white powder substance that absolutely is not cocaine:

The notorious meal is called “patron burger” and the said white faux-cocaine substance that comes with it is actually just garlic flour. So no snorting it unless you literally want to live and breathe garlic. Apart from the fake cocaine, there is also a rolled fake $100 along with it as added Escobar touches. They also have fries that come with the same fake coke encased in a plastic powder container:

“We are very proud of our burgers but we do also understand that Pablo Escobar was a horrible man who destroyed the lives of thousands of Colombians,” announced Pablo Escoburgers co-owner Vaughn Marks. “We do not condone, idolize or promote Pablo Emilio Escobar or his actions in any way. We are however Australian and know how to have a laugh about a good play on words,” he added.

Of course, not many people thought the novelty funny. Some were outright offended at it for seemingly glorifying Escobar’s massacres, drug business, and terrorizing. What do you think about Pablo’s Escoburgers though? Feel free to discuss in the comments.
