TweetDeck Updated With Header Photos And Expanded Tweets

TweetDeck updates its apps

TweetDeck is kind of floating around in its own vigilante hemisphere away from the information network’s official web and mobile applications.

To wit, Twitter’s recently introduced header photos are now visible on TweetDeck profiles as well, after its web and Chrome apps updated on Wednesday to reflect header photos and expanded tweets, as well. These two additions improve how TweetDeck users experience Twitter profiles and individual tweets.

The expanded tweet feature on TweetDeck, called Twitter Cards, provide users with article snippets from media partners.

“This card shows an image preview from the sites, a short description of the page and often a link to the author, giving you a handy summary of the link to help you decide whether to view the web page,” TweetDeck product manager Richard Barley said in a blog post.

So far, these TweetDeck updates are web-only, and haven’t been brought over to the Mac and PC versions of the application yet.

Have you checked out TweetDeck’s new features? What do you think?
