Sasquatch, big hairy wild man, NBA player, or in simpler terms, Big Foot. He/she/it/whatever has been the subject of much wonder and controversy for more than a century now. Even hunters out in the woods remain wary of the big dude. One hunter even thought he caught a glimpse of the beast and shot it… turns out it was just a regular Montana man.

The anonymous Montana man was actually out in the woods putting up target shooting dummies for his shooting practice (ironic, huh?). Suddenly, the 27-year-old Montana man came under fire from live ammunition. One bullet even landed a few feet away from his foot while another whizzed past on his right sight and nearly grazed him.

He immediately took shelter afterward and after the shooter calmed down, he confronted him. In the shooter’s defense, he said, “I thought you were Bigfoot. I don’t target practice — but if I see something that looks like Bigfoot, I just shoot at it.” The victim Montana man did argue that he was not the Bigfoot.

They parted ways and the hunter drove away in his black F-150. Oddly, it was only 24 hours after the incident that the Montana man filed a report. The police were reluctant to believe him until a woman stepped forward with a similar complaint of being shot at in the woods by a man who drove a black F-150. Seems like the hunter was keen on bagging Bigfoot.

“We’re working to find this person. It is of great concern that this individual might think it’s okay to shoot at anything he thinks is Bigfoot,” Clark County Sheriff Leo Dutton advised. As of now, the hunter has not been caught yet. For that matter, Bigfoot also still remains at large.
