The battle royale game genre has been around for a long time now. However, it got more popular due to games like PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds and Fortnite. Both games are now dominating the industry and it was only a matter of time before some Richie Rich took notice. Well, one millionaire did and is now out to make a real-life battle royale game on his own private island.
Now, just wait, hang on to your parachutes for a moment. The said real-life battle royale game is more of a work-in-progress at the moment and the unnamed millionaire is still looking for a designer for the event which is to take place in an unnamed private island. Of course, they won’t use real guns with live ammunition– only airsoft guns, so no massacres or anything hardcore.
The position of designer or game maker of the real-life battle royale game is still vacant and is being advertised on Hush Hush, a luxury shopping hub. According to the job listing, the designer is to plan out a 100-person deathmatch or battle royale and will be compensated £1,500 ($1,958) per day over a project period of six weeks; a total of £45,000 ($58,745).
Hush Hush also claimed that they will be handling the registrations for the said event. Meanwhile, airsoft guns, ammo, and touch-sensitive body armor will be provided to the players in what appears to be a 3-day battle royale fight. That means camping gear and food will also be provided and players can also sleep or eat during the match on their own risk.
As for the rewards of the real-life battle royale game, the one and only last person standing will receive £100,000 ($130,545). At the moment, the anonymous millionaire is currently looking for a private island, the event designer, and the competitors. Think you got what it takes to win that chicken dinner?
