It took you forever to pick out the perfect wallpaper for your Twitter profile. Whether it is a professionally designed masterpiece or a simple color background, your wallpaper is a personal touch. So, imagine many Twitter users’ surprise when their wallpaper was missing.
It is unclear whether this is a bug or a design choice on Twitter’s part. Users are experiencing a missing wallpaper when they view their profile or general feed. However, the wallpaper is visible when you click on an individual tweet.
So, what’s a Twitter fanatic to do? Wired.com says there is a troubleshooting process you can try. Go to settings, choose design and reload your background image. Some are saying this is working, others are still seeing a problem.

Also, is it a coincidence that Twitter recently changed the language in the support page for customizing your profile?:
“You can customize your design theme so that users who click to view your Tweet detail pages will see it. Other than your theme color, your design theme will not be visible on your profile or Home timeline.”
Ah, so it is change on Twitter’s part. Wired.com has reached out to Twitter, but no response of yet.
