Someone with way too much time on their hands is giving political observers a chance to watch Mitt Romney’s social media presence fade into obscurity in real time.
Indeed, the fallen-from-grace GOP candidate has been bleeding Facebook fans lately, and by some estimates, he is losing Facebook “likes”at a declining rate of 847 per hour.
It’s all over at DisappearingRomney.com, which charts Romney’s slimming social media presence in real time. Two graphs are presented: “Recent Like Count for Mitt Romney” and “Realtime Like Count for Mitt Romney.” The first shows the overall downward spiral while the second shows the social media decline in real time.
Currently, Mitt Romney’s Facebook page is sitting at just over 12,000,000 likes, so the idea that some media outlets are propogating – that Romney is losing fans at a dramatic rate – may be a bit too exaggerated in relative terms. Still, it’d be interesting if the website did some sort of study to see who is “unliking” Mitt Romney. Long-undecided Independents? Liberals wanting to keep a beat on the enemy? Angry Conservatives using the “unlike” for revenge? That, I’d like to see.
Do you “like” Mitt Romney? Did you “unlike” Mitt Romney?
