Twitter Releases “Twitter Follow Button” For Websites

Twitter Follow Button

Following in the footsteps of the Facebook Like Box for websites, Twitter today rolled out the “Twitter Follow Button” an option that allows site visitors to click on a single button to follow companies and individuals directly.

In order to gain followers in the past Twitter users had to redirect their site visitors to their Twitter.com/username page and then have them “opt-in” to follow their pages via the Twitter follow button. Users will now only need to click on the Follow button found on the website they are visiting, no redirect necessary.

If users want to preview a profile before following they can simply click on the username next to the Follow button before moving forward.

You can check out the Twitter Follow button on the left hand side of this page under “Follow SND”

You can install the Twitter Follow button on your website by clicking HERE.
