Twitter can be used to chat with friends, build your brand or just vent about your day, but now the company Webtrends is using Twitter for another reason, forecasting potential Grammy award winners.
The Grammy’s air this Sunday and using the magical Twitter crystal ball known as the Twitter API the company is able to track millions of tweets to come up with a general consensus for the nights big winners.
Webtrends began its Grammy forecasting one week ago, checking out 7,000 – 10,000 tweets per hour.
