We all know Donald Trump hates CNN, but how much may surprise you. Supposedly, the president recently threw a tantrum after discovering that Melania’s Air Force One TV was tuned to the channel.

According to the New York Times, Trump erupted at White House staff members for breaking his rule that all TVs onboard the aircraft must stay tuned to his beloved Fox News. An insider told the publication that the outburst “caused a bit of a stir” during their recent Europe trip, although it’s not been confirmed whether the First Lady was watching the TV at the time.

However, a spokesperson for Melania told NBC: “Seems kind of silly to worry about what channel she watches on TV (any channel she wants btw) or if she heard some recording on the news.”

The bizarre TV rule was discovered in an email chain amongst White House staffers. The team were on the hunt for two TV sets that could support the streaming service Beam, so Trump and his wife could watch TV in their separate hotel rooms. The exchange ended with a note saying that the TV’s should be tuned to Fox News only.

Trump and CNN have a fractious relationship, with the 72-year-old frequently accusing the network of reporting “fake news.” In contrast, the POTUS is said to begin his day by watching the Fox and Friends Morning Show, and has given the right wing channel exclusive interviews since his election in 2016.

Other media outlets blacklisted by the president include the New York Times and the Washington Post, which have been critical of the Trump administration in the past.
