Ruth Bader Ginsburg is an icon for many reasons. From her decades tirelessly working for women’s rights, to her workout routine that puts women a quarter of her age to shame, the Notorious R.B.G. more than lives up to her nickname.

Now, along with the recent movie about her life, the legendary Supreme Court Justice is getting her own lipstick. Brought to you by Lipslut, the brand behind the F*ck Kavanaugh and F*ck Trump lipsticks, the product is to celebrate the 85-year-old beating cancer for a second time.

The shade is aptly called “Bad Bitch Berry,” with 50% of the profits donated to causes R.B.G. supports or which embody her political views, such as the American Civil Liberties Union, Equal Rights Advocatesand She Should Run.

Lipslut’s first politically-charged product was it’s F*ck Trump matte liquid lipstick, released in 2017, with 50% of its profits going towards causes negatively affected by the Trump administration. The company was founded by activist Katie Somes, who was inspired to create Lipslut after watching Donald Trump’s inauguration.

She told Refinery29: “I was watching Trump’s inauguration in January 2017 and I noticed so many of my friends were sharing lists of places to donate to.

“I knew a lot of people my age weren’t donating because they didn’t feel like they could give their money away. But then, at the same time, they thought they could afford to buy makeup. So I decided to bridge that gap by creating a product that could give back.”

After the success of the nude shade, Lipslut’s next venture was F*ck Kavanaugh, a deep red described as “cool, calm and collected.” 50% of the shade’s proceeds are donated to anti-sexual assault organisations, although it is currently sold out.

All of Lipslut’s lipsticks are also vegan, cruelty-free, and (almost) as importantly, the formula stays put all day and won’t dry your lips out.
