Oh hey, internets and good people of Tumblr! As we bring July to a close and wave it goodbye as it rides off into the sunset, let’s take a moment to pause and reflect on this one important fact: we’re here, we’re still alive, and you’re still reading this silly article on your phone or computer, which means you still have the capacity to log on. Good for you.
Now, while July has been packed with the good, the bad, and the crazy, it’s time to welcome August with one of the best ways we know to cope: with loud, uproarious laughter.
Because really, how else can we deal with life on this planet?
Because oh, look, here’s one of the causes of said coping.
Let’s keep hoping to live to see the day college to be free and equal for all, with better standards and sooner.
On the tough days, it’s important to practice self-care. Honor your spaces.
Manage your expectations.
Treasure your friends.
Learn to keep secrets — your friends, and yours. Specially yours. It goes with you to your graves, and no one blab about it. No one will ever know where we hid the body.
Slowly learn to love yourself and embrace your imperfections. Yes, you will be okay and you will live, even with that bowl cut.
And hey, treat yourself from time to time, because hell yeah, you deserve it.
When all else fails, just laugh at the absurdity of life. We guarantee you, it’s the sanest thing you can ever do.
Pro tip: when you feel your brain is messing with you, you can tell it to shut the hell up. You are a good person, and you are trying to get some sleep.
