David Beckham Google Hangouts Interview

Soccer star David Beckham has had a busy week, first he signed a new two-year contract with the LA Galaxy and then he headed over to Google’s headquarters where he hosted his first Google Hangout.

Beckham’s Google+ profile currently features nearly 465,000 followers, far shy of his 15 million Facebook Likes and Google was hoping to capitalize on the interactive Hangout capabilities of its platform to increase his reach.

Beckham appeared online for thirty minutes in which he talked to fans from all over the world while vowing to conduct more hangouts during an hour-long interview conducted at Googleplex in Mountain View, California.

Among Beckham’s hangout subjects were his charity work with UNICEF and his upcoming H&M “bodywear” collection which will debut with a second-quarter Superbowl ad in February.
