Google+ Lets You Install Android Apps Directly From The Stream

Google+ has quickly become a great platform for average and tech savvy users alike, and today rolled out an option allowing users to install Android apps directly from the stream. Google integrated Drive documents into the stream two weeks ago, and continues to integrate more and more services into the platform.

Previously, when you would share a link to an app from the Play Store, it would simply display as a normal link. Now, when you share a URL to an app, Android users will be presented with a blue install button if they don’t already have the app.

This functionality makes it dead simple to install a new app to your phone or tablet with the click of a button. If you’ve never used the install function from the Play Store, it’s pretty impressive and works almost instantly: That is, if you make sure to have mobile data or WiFi turned on.

Play Store integration is live now to all Google+ users, so if you have an app that you enjoy and want to recommend to your followers, get sharing. Being able to install apps directly from the stream isn’t just great for typical users, but the community is thriving amongst developers as well.

For example, if a developer has released a new app or an update, they can easily update their followers which, with the integration, will likely increase the amount of installs.

Ease of use and simplicity are big factors, and Google+ is sure to please users looking for that next great app.
