Politicians are often compared to animals because some of them display the same instincts and qualities as they do. What’s sad, however, is that a lot of politicians are even worse than animals. So, one town in Vermont thought of a more logical candidate for their honorary mayor: a goat. It does make sense since the only “greens” it will steal is grass.
A cold town up north named Fair Haven in Vermont, US has gone viral for its honorary mayor. Instead of suits, the said honorary mayor is wearing nothing but fur. His name is Lincoln and he probably has no idea how
It was, however, not that easy of a win for Lincoln, he was up against a ruff opponent– a dog named Sammie, along with 14 other pets. It was a close fight, but Lincoln did not
Lincoln’s duties? None too hard, he mostly has to attend town events, like marching in the Memorial Day parade with a sash. Joseph Gunter, the town manager of the 2,500-strong Fair Haven, explained that “It was a great way to introduce the elementary school kids to local government,” in regards to having a pet honorary mayor:

It is worth noting that since Fair Haven is still too small, it does not have a human mayor. Hence, the locals will have to settle for Lincoln– the live goat Lincoln and not the dead GOAT Lincoln, for any semblance of government for their town. Still, compared to how bad some local politicians usually are, Lincoln the goat does not sound too
