Woman Hates Haircut, Pulls Gun on Hairdresser

Mild overreaction? Woman pulls gun on hairdresser.

Guns are a hot topic. It’s easy to frame the issue as “All the guns” vs “None of the guns,” but polling suggests the majority of Americans simply want, well, “Some of the guns.” Nobody is opposed to recreational shooting—the people for increased gun scrutiny only want to keep firearms out of the wrong hands.

Hands like Adrian Blanche Swain’s, a San Diego-area woman eyewitnesses say threatened her hairdresser with a pistol. According to reports, Swain complained about the haircut she had received an hour earlier, pointing to a bald spot. She then produced the weapon and attempted to fire at barber Manny Montero.

“She said, ‘Look what you did to my hair,'” Montero said. “She came in with a bald spot on the side, and I am like, ‘I didn’t do that.'”

Fortunately, the gun jammed and bystanders tackled Swain.

“She had it. She was gonna do it,” said Montero. “For some reason, God was there.”

Montero recalls feeling angry with the disgruntled woman.

“Grabbed her arm, grabbed the gun,” he said. “We threw her to the floor and held her until authorities came.”

Manny Montero (pictured) was moments from death when his assailant’s gun jammed and bystanders tackled her. He says he’s thankful to be alive. According to reports, Swain complained about the haircut she had received an hour earlier, pointing to a bald spot. She then produced the weapon and attempted to fire at barber Montero.

Montero says he took the rest of the day off and spent it with his family, thankful to be alive.

“Your whole life runs in front of your eyes, so that’s what it did. That’s what happened.”
