We don’t know much about the new movie Daddy’s Home but we do know that it will involve a scene in which Will Ferrell throws a basketball at a cheerleader’s head.
Ferrell was called up to take a half court halftime shot at the Los Angeles Lakers / New Orleans Pelicans game last night but instead of chucking the ball at the basket he hurled it at a nearby cheerleader.
OK, let’s get a better look at this. Here’s the windup…

And here’s the pitch.

We’re guessing that the cheerleader plays Will Ferrell’s ex-wife in the new movie.
Here’s the synopsis from IMDB: “When a divorced guy’s ex-wife re-marries someone way more uptight, he re-enters her life and wreaks havoc.”
The cheerleader incident was obviously staged but you have to give Will Ferrell some credit for playing it out all the way. After he hit the cheerleader in the face with a basketball, he fought with security as they carried him off the court.
