Jimmy Wales, founder of the Wikimedia Foundation and creator of Wikipedia.org has announced plans to speak at the 2012 Social Good Summit on September 22, 2012. Wales will talk about crowdsourcing’s potential to improve global health.
Wales will appear on stage alongside Gabriel Jaramillo, general manager of the Global Fund. Jaramillo will be talking about a new digitally focused global health campaign.
Many other sessions will also be part of the Social Good Summit which focuses on the ability of the internet and more specifically social platforms to change the world for the better.
Also speaking are actress Mira Sorvia and U.S. Chief Technology Officer Todd Park among others.
The Social Good Summit is a three-day conference meant to intertwine social good thinkers who share common goals.
