Vin Diesel’s Tribute to Paul Walker Will Make You Cry

Over the weekend, Vin Diesel shared a touching tribute to his late co-star, Paul Walker, on Instagram. In the photo, Diesel can be seen holding his daughter Pauline. In the left-hand corner, Walker looks down on the two. The photo was posted with the simple caption “always.”

Vin Diesel and his wife, Paloma Jimenez, named their daughter after Walker.

“There’s no other person that I’m thinking about as I’m cutting this umbilical cord,” Diesel said during an interview on the Today Show. “I knew he was there and it felt like, you know, a way to keep his memory a part of my memory, a part of my world.”

Walker passed away in an automobile accident in 2013. Walker was riding with Roger Rodas in a 2005 Porsche Carrera GT. Rodas lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a concrete lamppost. The vehicle then burst into flames.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department declared both men dead at the scene. Rodas probably died instantly of multiple traumatic injuries. Walker, on the other hand, died from the combined effects of traumatic and thermal trauma, meaning he may have initially been alive after the crash. Both men’s bodies were burned beyond recognition.

Walker’s death immediately prompted an outpouring of grief from friends, co-stars, and fans. Although producers initially shelved the seventh Fast and Furious installment, production eventually began again as the cast and crew decided to finish the film as a tribute to Walker.
