Bring Back Old Lenses
Do you find your existence a little bit grayer without Snapchat’s rainbow-puking lens? Want to scare the beejeezus out of your folks with the demon lens just one more time? Bringing back good old lenses is as easy as changing the date on your mobile phones’ main settings.
To do this:
For iOS, go to “Settings”, then “General”, then “Date & Time”, and turn off “set automatically.”
For Android, go to “Settings”, then “Date & Time”, and uncheck “automatic date and time.”
With that done, go set your phone’s date to a time when the lenses were available, (we recommend Sept. 15, 2015, the day of the update). Just remember to set your phone back to the correct date and time after you snap to prevent messing up settings for your other apps.
Add Two Filters At The Same Time
If you’ve always wanted to create the perfect snapchat shot and you absolutely must have that second filter, this trick could just be the answer to your selfie prayers.
All you need do is hold down your preferred first filter with one finger. Then with a second finger, swipe to your desired second filter, and voila! Two filters at the same time! Admittedly, this trick may take some practice for your finger choreography, but once you’ve got it, you’ll be mixing and matching them filters like a boss.
Create Multi-color Ombre Filters
What a cool surprise this is: you can actually use your emoji to customize your own ombre filters for your snaps. You just have to choose an emoji with he color of your choice, then enlarge it so much until it pixelates and leaves just a hint of its color on your image. Keep doing this until you’ve got the exact effect you need. Bask in the awe and adoration of your friends and colleagues. ride off into the sunset; your snap has indeed has saved the day.
