Twitter.com Now Offering Gowalla, Foursquare, Meetup and Other Social Integrations

TechObsessed Twitter Foursquare Integration Test

Head on over to the new Twitter.com and you’ll not only find new photo sharing and hosting capabilities, you’ll also discover closer integration with Amazon, Gowalla, Foursquare, AOL Video, Meetup, Plantcast and numerous other social platforms as part of the company’s new strategy to offer more features for their users to interact with.

The move shouldn’t surprise users of the network who witnessed picture and video integrations through third party vendors such as TwitPic and YouTube when they launched #NewTwitter last year. 2010 integrations ended with a bang when Instagram, Slideshare, Rdio, Dipdiv and Blip.tv were added to the mix.

The new program works as expected, when your friends have connected their accounts to their Twitter account those messages will be shared on Twitter. For example, a user who checks in on Foursquare will send a link to their Twitter account, while links for Meetups, Plancast, AOL Video and the other services will work in the same way.

Here’s the result of the integration with Fourquare (notice the included map directly on your Tweet page:
