Last weekend Tim McGraw’s concert in Atlanta went as scheduled with one minor glitch, a female fan got too aggressive, ripped the country singer’s jeans, and McGraw slapped her in the head. Watch video here.
Unfortunately for the country star and his PR team, everyone has a camera phone these days and multiple people got this on video from varied angles.
McGraw told ET Canada that he feels bad about this situation, but wants to move on.
“Sometimes things can lose context and perspective. I reacted in an instinctive, defensive way from my perspective of what was going on. I think it was an unfortunate situation I think all the way around. But it happened, it happened in a split second, it was pure instinctive reaction, I think you just got to move on.”
The 47-year-old megastar comments on how it is difficult to be the only one in the spotlight with a thousands of people watching.
“It is one of those things that happen, nobody feels good about it, but there’s nothing that could be done about it. You are in that position, you are out there, you are vulnerable, things happen and sometimes you react. There’s nothing to be said about it.”
Seems geniune? What do you think?
