I don’t write a lot about “the new titles coming to Netflix this month” because those articles are rather cheap and everybody seems to be doing them; however, the July Netflix is definitely something for us to look forward to. I’m going to go so far as to say that I haven’t been this excited about a streaming platform’s new releases since Hulu announced that they bought the rights to Seinfeld
What We’re Excited About
Back to the Future
Perhaps one of the greatest movies ever made in maybe greatest era for movies is coming to Netflix in July and I cannot hold in my excitement for the addition of Doc Brown and Marty McFly to Netflix in July (rhyme intended). I’m going to be binging hard on this one. And yes, all three films in the series will be on the platform.
Beverly Hills Cop II & III
Another two great 80’s movies with a theme song that you can’t help but dance to will be premiering on Netflix in July. At the moment, the first Beverly Hills Cop is on Hulu so if you have both subscriptions you might be able to catch the whole trilogy.
Gladiator & Cinderella Man
Two movies that are sure to get you pumped up, Gladiator and Cinderella Man will both be on the streaming service this month.
Lethal Weapon I-IV
All four of the Lethal Weapons will be on Netflix in July because this seems to be the month that the service has finally realized that people love binging
The Big Short
The Big Short is a movie that is as critically acclaimed as it gets, the film has an 88% on Rotten Tomatoes and it’s about the Wall Street Bubble that led to the recession. I’m super-excited about this one since I still haven’t seen it.
What We’re Not Happy Is Leaving
2001: A Space Oddity
You only have a few more days to watch Stanley Kubrick’s masterpiece so I’d head over there and get it done now.
All The Star Trek Films
All the Star Trek films that are on Netflix at the moment will be gone as of July 1st. Even if you’re not a Klingon-fluent nerd, I’d suggest you get these in your system. “Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan” and “Star Trek III: The Search For Spock” are my two personal favorites
