There’s no doubt that Instagram is one of the best places online to see amazing photos of the world’s top destinations. With 800 million users as of 2017, this photo-sharing site continues to captivate people’s attention and even emotions.

It’s just a matter of following the right people and organizations to be able to find top quality photos that can touch one’s heart. In fact for those who want to see great places but don’t have the means to travel as much as they want to, they can take a tour of the world on Instagram.

Museums are often in people’s itinerary when visiting a new city or country. Brooklyn Museum

This art museum is New York City’s third largest in terms of physical size. With an estimated 1.5 million art collection on display, the Brooklyn Museum aims “to create inspiring encounters with art that will change the way people see themselves, the world and its possibilities.


Founded by Larry Gagosian, this gallery showcases contemporary and modern art. Louvre Museum

The world’s largest art museum and historic monument in the French capital of Paris is also on Instagram. Marvel at the rare objects inside the Louvre Museum including the famous Mona Lisa painting. Unknown to some people, the building that houses the museum is originally a medieval palace built for King Philippe.

Los Angeles County Museum of Art

Established in 1961, this art museum on Wilshire Boulevard in Los Angeles is also called LACMA. It was originally part of the Los Angeles Museum of History, Science and Art before it became an independent museum. As the biggest art museum in the western United States, the place showcases art works that span history and geography. It is also the youngest of the leading encyclopedic art institutions in the U.S. and is a major part of Los Angeles’ cultural life.

New York Botanical Museum

This museum is a botanical garden and a national historic landmark in New York’s Bronx area. Nature lovers will be in awe of the museum’s extensive and diverse collections of more than a million living plants from the tropical, temperate and desert areas. Each year, more than one million people visit the museum not only to see the wide range of flora but also to learn about plant science, ecology and healthy eating.
