Anna Todd has a six-figure deal to pen new fan fiction about One Direction. She also has an army of Directioneers who are trying to stop the release of the new book with the viral hashtag #suspendAnnaTodd.
Anna Todd rose to fame on the writing website WattPad. Her story “After,” a piece of fan fiction involving One Direction, has more than 800 million reads. The story helped Todd land a book deal and she is expected to release her first book later this year.
But here’s the problem. Anna Todd’s story centers around a “good” college girl whose life gets flipped upside down after she falls for a bad boy named Harry and a lot of Directioneers think that the fan fiction paints Harry Styles in a bad light.
If she actually cared about the boys, she wouldn't want to publish her book or get it made into a movie. She's selfish!#SuspendAnnaTodd

Another concern among Directioneers is that they don’t believe that Anna Todd is a REAL fan of the band.
Most One Directioneers may want to Suspend Anna Todd but she also has received a lot of messages from fans who are excited to read more of her fan fiction. Todd signed a six-figure book deal to release three more volumes of her story. The first is expected to arrive this October.
