The most important movie of the decade hit theaters today and the Twitterverse is pretty excited about it. But is TMNT any good?
The movie hit theaters last night and so far moviegoers have been divided. Critics have Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles listed at a pretty abysmal 21% on Rotten Tomatoes while audience members have the movie pegged at 63%.
One reviewer writes: “Neither entertaining enough to recommend nor remarkably awful, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles may bear the distinction of being the dullest movie ever made about talking bipedal reptiles.”
Most of the twitterverse agreed and took to the internet to voice their distaste for Michael Bay’s new film.

very grateful to the man sitting next to me in the turtle costume at TMNT for showing my son what happens when you don't have a girlfriend.

But some twitter users had a different reaction calling it the greatest movie ever made.

The new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles had a pretty successful midnight debut last night bringing in $4.6 million around the country. That’s far behind the Guardians of the Galaxy debut of $11.2 million but ahead of the summer’s other big family film Maleficient which brought in just over $4 million.
