Super Bowl XLVIII is mere days away, and we can already tell who’s rooting for who, and how you feel about Bruno Mars fronting Red Hot Chili Peppers for the halftime show.
Our pals over at Networked Insights, the marketing technology company that most recently helped Samsung grab the edge over Apple in the smartphone battle, analyzed the social conversation leading up to Super Bowl XLVIII and noted some interesting trends over the past 90 days. Among them:
- 4.4 million social media conversations are about Bruno Mars.
- Bruno’s biggest consumer segment on social media is Moms, followed by Millennials, then Hispanics.
- West Coast fans are talking abour Bruno Mars about three-times more than East Coast fans.
Also, among beer drinkers, 60 percent are rooting for the Seahawks while 40 percent are rooting for the Broncos. Weird.
