Pinterest had made recent news over the introduction of new article pins, and the social network has teamed up with Microsoft to integrate boards in Bing image search.
Part of what is called “Image Collections,” Bing users can now see Pinterest boards alongside other images from around the web.
When you go to search for images on Bing, you will now see “collections” on the right hand side from Pinterest.
For example, here are some results after searching for Ferrari:
Clicking on a collection will open all the images, and you can click “View on Pinterest” on the top left to view them all on the social network.
This feature is now live for all Bing users, and it could just be the beginning of integration from other image-based social networks.
Microsoft owns a small stake in Facebook, and with the social network owning Instagram, its photos could possibly be displayed among those from Pinterest.
