Two Florida men are on Santa’s naughty list this year after a clever stealing ploy. Caught on surveillance video, one man fakes a heart attack, while his accomplice steals a electronic Barbie car and other expensive children’s toys.

Florida TV station, WESH-TV reported Tarus Scott, 30, and Genard Dupree, 27, were arrested Tuesday after a surveillance camera in a Walmart in Lake Wales, Florida.

The entire crime was caught on various surveillance cameras throughout the store. The footage shows the two men walking through the store. Scott loads up a cart with $369 worth of toys, including a motorized power wheel Barbie car, a Leap Frog tablet, and a Barbie Glam vacation house, , while Dupree heads for the store exit. Dupree then lays down on the floor and begins clutching his chest. Several customers and employees come to his aid. Moments later, Scott is seen walking right past the preoccupied employees. After Scott exits the store, Dupree simply stands up, brushes himself off, and walks out of the store.

The men left together and were later apprehended by police. They have been charged with grand theft. Police say both men have extensive criminal backgrounds (big shocker).

While the plan is clever, it is sure to land the two men in big trouble this holiday season. Even more heartbreaking is the possibility of a child not receiving a gift for Christmas because these dumb criminals decided to steal instead being honest role models.

Hope the men don’t mind lots of coal in their stockings.
