OMG, Check Out This Crazy Shark Eats Man Video/Facebook Phishing Scam! [Hoaxed]

fake shark attack video

Holy crap, check out this crazy video of a shark eating a man in the Indian Ocean! Just “like” our page first. Then fill out a brief customer satisfaction survey.

That’s basically the gist behind the photo above, which you may have seen shared by your unwitting/blood-thirsty friends on Facebook.

The post sure looks inviting. All you have to do is click the “play” button above the riveting click-bait title “[SHOCKING VIDEO] SHARK EATS SWIMMING MAN IN INDIAN OCEAN.” But when you click the pic, you’re asked to live a page and then complete a series of surveys. We don’t even know if there is a video at the end of that malware tunnel, but we can tell you this much: That thumbnail is from the 1987 film Jaws: The Revenge, so we’re guessing no.

This appears to be one of those Facebook phishing scams we’ve been warning our readers about. Save yourselves the headache and don’t click on this if you see it.
