No one wants to look alone, but everyone wants to take a selfie. Artists, Justin Crowe and Aric Snee collaborated and created this piece of art.
The creative concept consists of a fiberglass arm that you can connect your smart phone to. The artist says it is a tongue-in-cheek solution to the problem that “nobody wants to look alone while they mindlessly snap pictures of themselves — the product conveniently provides you a welcoming arm. and better yet, it doesn’t talk or have emotions of any sort. you can even create fake accounts and use its finger to like all your images; its not you its the hand!”
Lightweight and portable, the unique product makes the boring old selfie stick obsolete. The design is only a prototype, so don’t whip out your wallet just yet. The artists say it will probably never become a product, just a social statement. The “collaborative project is a direct commentary on the growing selfie stick phenomenon, and the constant, gnawing need for narcissistic internet validation.”
