Most Moms Consider Facebook Their ‘Me Time’ [Study]

New research shows that most moms take a break from their hectic schedules and the demands of their families with Facebook, and use the social networking giant to unwind and stay connected with friends.

In other words, “Soccer Moms” may very easily be called “Social Moms” from now on.

The marketing company Mums Now surveyed 1,000 moms, and found that a whopping 99% of them had Facebook accounts and used them up to three hours each day. Most Facebook activity occurs between 8pm and 10pm for these mothers, with the lowest point of use occurring between 8am and 4pm during the week.

Mary Anne Amies, the director of Mums Now, told The Australian:

Here’s a video on this phenomenon, via Mashable. Sound off! Are you a “Social Mom?”
