Twitter has been using the hashtag #DeflateGate to mock Tom Brady, Bill Belichick, and the New England Patriots for allegedly cheating as they made their way to the Super Bowl. Marker’s Mark used the hashtag to sell whisky.

Maker’s Mark may not be selling any more bottles than usual in New England but that looks like the only location where sales could drop. Sports Nation conducted a little poll to find out exactly who was buying Brady’s story about #deflategate. It turns out that only Patriots fans believe the story.
Who believes Belichick and Brady? New England. That’s it. pic.twitter.com/Mp3mtpN5zz

Maker’s Mark isn’t the first company to capitalize on a viral hashtag. In fact, this ad isn’t really all that impressive. #DeflateGate has been trending for nearly a week, meaning that Maker’s Mark had plenty of time to brainstorm and throw something together.
Oreo, on the other hand, put this Super Bowl ad together in a matter of minutes after there was a blackout at the Super Bowl.
