Jaleel White, best known for his role as Urkel on the hit series Family Matters engaged this week in what might be the years craziest Twitter battle.
Urkel was leaving a compliment for England Patriots tight end Jake Ballard when his conversation turned into an attack against USA Today writer Mike Garafalo.
The conversation started innocent enough as Jaleel White started the conversation by tweeting:
#lifehappens @TheJakeBallard It’s becoming obvious to some you could be in for a monster year sir #notthatiplayfantasyoranything #first
— Jaleel White (@jaleelwhite) June 19, 2013
At which point the tweet was echoed by Jake Ballard who wrote back:
#lifehappens @TheJakeBallard It’s becoming obvious to some you could be in for a monster year sir #notthatiplayfantasyoranything #first
— Jaleel White (@jaleelwhite) June 19, 2013
Then for whatever reason Mike Garafalo, apparently with nothing to do during the offseason tweeted:
6/19/13 3:47 pm: Jake Ballard retweets Steve Urkel telling him he’ll have a big year. We’ve officially reached ri
diculous offseason levels.— Mike Garafolo (@MikeGarafolo) June 19, 2013
Apparently not happy with the jab White tweeted back:
Hey Bruh don’t be an ass @MikeGarafolo Do ur job maybe get some #rogaine for that head of urs. Jake’s a solid talent ✌@espn
— Jaleel White (@jaleelwhite) June 19, 2013
Garafalo though about his response then reconsidered his former statement and tweeted:
I stand corrected. NOW it’s ridiculous. RT @jaleelwhite: don’t be an ass @MikeGarafolo Do ur job maybe get some #rogaine for that head
— Mike Garafolo (@MikeGarafolo) June 19, 2013
Urkel then felt the need to escalate the situation by writing back:
don’t be a bitch and edit my tweets either media guy @MikeGarafolo just retweet it, it’ll get your swag up
— Jaleel White (@jaleelwhite) June 19, 2013
Before the sports writer could even respond Jaleel White wrote back:
You mad bro? pic.twitter.com/oo55IWkOPp
— Jaleel White (@jaleelwhite) June 20, 2013
So who do you think won this Twitter battle?
