J.J. Watt had 81 tackles and 20.5 sacks during the 2012 season. The Houston Texans defensive end was named the AP’s defensive player of the year and was one of the most feared players on the field this year. But standing next to Yao Ming… Watt looks like a 12-year-old boy.
Watt stands at 6-foot-5 and weights 295 pounds. Standing next to most people Watt is an absolute giant. That is, until an actual giant walks into the room.
Yao Ming stands at 7-foot-6, more than a foot taller than Watt, and weights 310 pounds.
Ming may have retired from the NBA but Watt is hoping that he considers a career in the NFL. Why? Well, according to Watt Ming would probably be able to stand in the middle of the field and disrupt a few passes.
Here’s the photo of J.J. Watt and Yao Ming.
Great lunch with @yaoming today. Have a feeling he could knock down a pass or two… twitter.com/JJWatt/status/…

And Watt isn’t the only person who looks diminutive next to Ming.
The former Houston Rockets star sent out of a picture of himself talking to NBA legend Bill Russell. Russell was listed at 6-foot-9.
It was fun watching the Clippers and Heat play in Beijing last week. I got to see many friends including Bill Russell twitter.com/YaoMing/status…
