Startup Viraliti Taps Pinterest Advertising Space

Pinterest is the no. 3 social network in the world, with a recent study revealing that the site is actually better at getting users to purchase goods and product than Facebook. Interestingly, Pinterest doesn’t have an ad network of its own, inspiring the startup accelerator program Viraliti, which aims to solve this very problem.

Viraliti calls itself the “adwords for Pinterest,” and is a platform which connects advertisers with Pinterest users, giving them a route to monetize pins while giving brands an opportunity for more exposure.

The program runs on a CPC (cost per click) model. Advertisers are charged for legitimate clicks at a cost determined by a publisher’s influence on Pinterest. A pinner who has more followers and generates more likes will get a higher CPC.

Images on Pinterest go viral often, as users repin (or share) images on their own boards. This is where Viraliti comes in, making visually appealing ad campaigns go viral, giving advertisers an added advantage of reaching out to new demographics and generating more traffic and sales.

Here’s a detailed list of what Viraliti offers:

  • Stay updated about latest products, fashion trends and offers.
  • Rich content created by experts to spread in their Pinterest network.
  • Become a brand ambassador and educate their followers about new and useful products and services.
  • Monetize their influence. Earn money for clicks received on their sponsored pins.
  • Hassle-free signup with Facebook, Twitter or email accounts.
  • Detailed reports on clicks, earning and payment.
  • A 30$ minimum threshold for payment and fortnightly payment cycle.

  • World class customer support.

Pinterest has gained a lot of steam as a social network, and will likely continue to do so in the future. There’s definitely a market for tapping the advertising space in the social network, making Viraliti a fairly timely startup.

  1. Hi Bob, I agree that their statistics to us as pinners could be better. Once a campaign is over, then you can't see how many clicks you got which is frustrating. But my balance with them is steadily increasing and I don't see it in any way fraudulent. They are still in testing so I am sure they will take on board our feedback about getting better analytics. https://moms-make-money.com/viraliti
