#IfICouldTalkToGod was started after one Twitter user posted a joke about wanting to meet talking giraffes so he could start a giraffe fight club. Umm, what?
.@SSawyerSJ All I wanted was some talking giraffes.

Despite the fact that the last time the hashtag was used was in 2013, it recently became fodder for serious conversation. In fact, some users are saying it means to simply pray. The original user, @MustBeTheMeds found it funny that the phrase was trending. He says it points to something more serious.
#IfICouldTalkToGod I'd ask him his favorite color. I bet all these people who say they talk to him every day are too selfish to even ask him

Others were just simply offended by the trend.
“The fact that #IfICouldTalkToGod is trending really shows how blind this world chooses to be. It’s called read the Bible and Pray. #Atheists,” the user noted.
It seems as if all the attention surrounding #IfICouldTalkToGod has @MustBeTheMeds regretting every creating the hashtag. There is no way he could of predicted this attention.
#IfICouldTalkToGod I'd tell him never mind about the giraffes. It's causing too much trouble.
