I Blame You: Jennifer Hibben-White’s Facebook Post About Son Griffin’s Measles Goes Viral

Ontario mom Jennifer Hibben White’s son Griffin may have the measles and she only has one person to blame: You. White took to Facebook on Monday to scold anti-vaxers for putting her son in danger:

“If you have chosen to not vaccinate yourself or your child, I blame you.

I blame you.

You have stood on the shoulders of our collective protection for too long. From that high height, we have given you the PRIVILEGE of our protection, for free. And in return, you gave me this week. A week from hell. Wherein I don’t know if my BABY will develop something that has DEATH as a potential outcome.

DEATH.”

White said that she brought her 15 day old son to the doctor’s office for a newborn weigh-in appointment. While there, Griffin may have been exposed to measles and now Jennifer Hibben-White is worried that she might lose another child.

Yes, ANOTHER child.

The Ontario mother says that she already lost her daughter Olivia to a bacterial infection when she was 5-years-old. While Olivia’s death had nothing to do with vaccinations, Hibben-White said that the pain of losing a child would change any anti-vaxxers belief about vaccinations.

“[You] would be the first to line up if you had an inkling of what the death of a child feels like. You would be crawling through the streets on your hands and knees, begging, BEGGING to get that vaccine into your precious babies because that is what I would have done, if I could, to save my daughter.”
