Google+ Photo Search Now Available For All Users

Google Plus Photo Search

The team at Google+ has rolled out a new feature that allows users to search for photos with any term they choose.

The new search query rolled out to all users on Thursday and allows members to find only posts that include a photo.

Using the new feature is simple, just type in any term and hit enter then choose the “Everything” option below the search box and choose “Photos.”

As you can see in my example (pictured above), I chose to search for “Google Plus” and then I chose the Photos option.

Three of the top 10 Google+ communities are photo centric and users in general love to share photos on the social platform.

Way back in 2011 Google+ claimed 3.4 billion photos after just 100 days in existence, a number that has likely skyrocketed over the last two years.

The battle for online photo supremacy has heated up like crazy since Instagram was purchased by Facebook. Flickr has added photo filters, Twitter has taken control of its own photo sharing and now Google+ is adding new features into the mix.

Try out the Google+ photo search for yourself and let us know what you think.
