Flipboard has just launched an iOS update that promises to import a users RSS subscriptions from the soon to close Google Reader platform.
Google will close its popular RSS platform on July 1 and Flipboard’s update allows users to share their feeds and organizational folders with their Flipboard accounts. Just remember to use this feature before Google closes its Reader app on July 1.
Simply update Flipboard on your Apple iOS device and then choose the option to sign into your Google Reader associated account.
With the update users can now simultaneously share content to Flipboard magazines while also curating that content with Twitter and Facebook.
An update was also issued for the company’s Android app but Flipboard did not add the same RSS functionality to that platform.
Will you let Flipboard take over where Google Reader will leave off on July 1?
