Facebook’s New Headquarters Theft: Copper Goes Missing

Facebook Campus at Oracle Sun Old Site

Facebook employees haven’t even begun moving into their new headquarters in Menlo Park, California and the company is already experiencing theft. According to police someone has been breaking into the building and stealing copper to the tune of $8,500.

According to the Bay City News Service the building, formerly belonging to Sun/Oracle is being remodeled and the copper has been lifted at night when construction workers are not on the premise.

We’re going to try and log into our Facebook accounts one day just to find out that someone stole the company’s electrical wiring that attached their computers to the website, just like the lady in Georgia, Armenia who accidentally disconnected a large portion of the countries internet access while digging for scrap metal.

Police are on the lookout and any tips are appreciated, in the meantime perhaps Facebook should consider some security at their offices, even if they can barely do the same for their website.
