Facebook first announced its drastically redesigned News Feed back in March 2013, and today revealed a redesign of the, you guessed it, redesign.
However, making things somewhat confusing is the fact that the company only references the old design that the majority of users still have.
Basically, if you weren’t one of the select few to receive the redesigned News Feed, you’ll soon receive the re-redesigned News Feed announced today.
The header and left-hand side navigation has essentially stayed the same, and the live ticker on the top right has been replaced with Trending Stories.
Photos have been made larger, and a new font helps to spiffy things up.
Facebook says the News Feed update is purely visual, and will not affect how posts surface, including how ads are displayed.
“As a marketer on Facebook, you don’t need to take any action. Requirements for creative specs and image aspect ratios for ads have not changed.”
The mobile Facebook design will stay untouched, and you can expect to see the re-redesign over the coming weeks.
