The battle for web property supremacy continues with Facebook increasing its online desktop presence by 4% over August numbers.
According to comScore the ranking for U.S. based Web properties remained largely unchanged in September with Yahoo still holing on to nearly 198 million desktop users. Based on the company’s estimate Yahoo numbers remained pretty much flat month-over-month.
Google desktop traffic over the same period reached 191 million web users.
Microsoft in the meantime has witnessed a decline in many of the websites it owns.
Business Insider created the chart at the top of this page which showcases the change in user traffic all the way back to January 2011.
In the meantime Facebook continues to focus much of its efforts on the mobile space, including the introduction of video ads meant to bolster the company’s earnings across mobile devices.
