Startup EverySignal Cherry-Picks Important Moments From News Feeds

The Science Inc. backed startup EverySignal launches today, making it simpler for people to keep track of the important moments in their lives.

The average social media user has roughly 400 friends or contacts on each of their profiles and produces around 30,000 posts each month (between LinkedIn and Facebook alone). This makes your news feed quite the crowded house, and EverySignal’s purpose is to preserve the value of the most important updates.

Think of it as Google Alerts for your social profile news feeds.

Basically, EverySignal sifts through the deluge of posts and status updates to find the most important things that happen with your friends, showing them to you in a user-friendly format to help improve your relationships with friends and family.

For the now, EverySignal is only hooked up to LinkedIn and Facebook, since both sites are probably the most updated involving careers or personal developments. Life-changing events like pregnancy, graduation, engagement, birthday, etc. are nabbed by EverySignal.

Twitter integration is right around the corner, as well.

EverySignal also uses a search function that increases engagement. You can ask questions about your friends: what they’re interested in, who has seen what movie in theaters recently, etc., which the service believes will influence purchasing behaviors.

That’s the big question, too. How will EverySignal monetize its service? They say they have some ideas, but right now, they’re focusing on getting people using it.

EverySignal went live today, and is usable on desktop or mobile web. A more optimized mobile version is in the works for release in the next month or two.
