Harry and Lloyd are back in the first trailer for Dumb And Dumber To.
Nearly two decades since the premiere of Dumb And Dumber, Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels are back as their stupid, stupid characters Harry and Lloyd. The two actors debuted the trailer last night on The Tonight Show.
When Dumb And Dumber came out in 1994, Jim Carrey was already known for his slapstick humor. Daniels, on the other hand, was more of a dramatic actor. Last night on The Tonight Show, Daniels said that Carrey set the tone early during the audition process.
Daniels said: “I remember the audition, because I was Mr. Drama and he was Jim, and I had to prove that I could be funny … We were doing the hot tub scene, and before we even said a word, he just went into Lloyd.”
Carrey interjected: “So I motor-boated him.”
Here’s a clip of Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon.
The Dumb and Dumber To trailer has received mixed reactions since its release. Some people are very excited to take another journey with Harry and Lloyd while others feel that there is no way that this sequel will top the original.

Watched the trailer for #DumbAndDumberTo – I’ll be steering clear. I’ve got too much love for the first film; don’t want to taint its memory

Not overly fond of pretending to believe that things which were merely okay 20 years ago will be great this time around. #DumbAndDumberTo

What did you think about the trailer? Are you going to see Dumb and Dumber To?
The movie had to overcome several obstacles during pre-production so let’s just be happy that it’s actually getting made. We’ll worry about if it’s any good or not when it hits theaters.
