In an interview with Sky News award winning actress Charlize Theron has said that press intrusion into her daily life is akin to being raped:
“When you start living in that world, and doing that, you start feeling raped.”
She was then asked if she meant to put it as strongly as that to which she replied:
“Well, when it comes to your son and your private life. Maybe it’s just me. Some people might relish in all that stuff but there are certain things in my life that I think of as very sacred and I am very protective over them.”
Twitter reactions have naturally not been in her favor with many people claiming she is out of touch with reality:
Dear Charlize Theron, rape rarely involves red carpets and free diamonds, put a sock in it. https://t.co/rWnBEewRfp
