Cat Paws Can Unlock iPhone 5S Fingerprint Reader

iPhone 5S Cat Paw

Interest in the iPhone 5S is huge at the moment and with the device releasing to the masses on Friday a TechCrunch created video has gone viral.

In the video the tech publications team showcases how a cat paw is capable of unlocking the new Apple smartphone.

Simply program your cats paw by placing its finger on the devices reader and its good to go. Human skin, cat skin, it doesn’t seem to man.

The iPhone 5S Touch ID platform also works on other parts of human skin such as the palm and forearm.

Since releasing their video on September 19, 2013 it has neared 275,000 views. A viral video about a cat paw? That sounds about right.

Touch ID is being touted as a more secure form of access by Apple. Here’s to hoping your device isn’t stolen by a cat burglary. Yeah I went there.
