SenateMustAct Hashtag Trends Against ObamaCare

If you visit Twitter today and check out Twitter trends you’ll see the hashtag #SenateMustAct. That hashtag is being used to attack ObamaCare and talk about defunding the program before it goes live in 2014.

While Republican leaders created the hashtag to reach their constituency it quickly turned into yet another example of useless internet trolling.

We understand that hashtags are a great way to generate certain conversations but their is still no ownership of those tags and in the end they can generate a bunch of confusing and nasty noise.

Here are a few back and forth examples from this weeks #SenateMustAct trend.

The conversation was then quickly co-opted by ObamaCare supporters and Republican hating Twitter users:

Stopping using Twitter hashtags to delivery your political message, it is going to be co-opted to attack your message.
