An Atlanta man refused to be a victim of a carjacking and it was all caught on camera.
Hashim Fannin had just pulled into a Family Dollar parking lot when a would-be carjacker slid into the passenger seat. Fannin’s Nissan was equipped with an automatic unlock feature and were triggered when he put the car into park. When the criminal got into the passenger seat, he looked at Fannin and said, “You know what this is.”
That’s when Fannin pulled out a gun and ordered the carjacker out of his vehicle. The courageous driver had the criminal lie on the ground and held him at gunpoint until authorities could arrive. Once police arrived on the scene, Fannin put his gun on the ground and was showered with praise for his bravery.
The suspect was identified as 61-year-old Edgar Horn and he probably is full of regret right now.
The shocking footage was captured on film by a witness in the parking lot. In the video, Fannin is heard talking as the suspect pleads and says he wasn’t trying to rob him.
“You weren’t trying to rob me? You just get into random people’s cars or something?” Fannin says to the man in the cell phone video. “You thought I was your friend? You thought I was your friend? So you woke up stupid this morning?”
Surprisingly, this isn’t the first time Fannin has thwarted a possible crime. In 2011, someone tried to steal his iPhone and he chased them down.
This is one dude you don’t want to mess with.
