Barry Manilow headlined “A Capitol Fourth” on Thursday, an annual Independence Day celebration put on by PBS. But it was his face that stole the show, not his voice.
The 33rd annual event also included a Neil Diamond performance and a fireworks show, but who cares. Did you see Barry Manilow’s face? Twitter noticed and seemed to have a hard time coping with how plastic the legendary performer looked.
At 70, it’s understandable that Barry Manilow would need a little bit of scalpel help to keep up his iconic image, but did he go too far? Like, Zsa Zsa Gabor too far? Twitter reacts:

Oye, Barry Manilow’s face on a Capital 4th is scary. It only moves when he moves his head. Creeping me out.

But to be fair to Barry Manilow, most folks complimented his Capitol Fourth performance.
