Ajax Launches Brilliant ‘Social Wipes’ Tool To Clean Up Your Twitter, Facebook Feeds

Ajax

We’ve come across many social media campaigns, and a new campaign from world-renowned cleaning brand Ajax is pretty cool.

Called “Ajax Social Wipes,” you can sign in with your Twitter or Facebook account “to start spring cleaning your social life.”

Ajax does not store or even see your password, and once signed in, it starts scanning your account:

Depending on the size of your Facebook or Twitter account, it can take some time to scan, and mine took around 10 minutes.

While scanning your Twitter account for example, it lists “Possible stains” meaning potential spammers.

You can mark them as “Not spam,” “Block” them or “Report,” which basically gives Twitter a heads up.

Ajax

At the very top of the page, there are buttons for “Friends,” “Yourself,” “Mentions” and “Manage Blocks.”

“Friends” will scan the people you are friends with or follow, letting you know if anyone is a potential spammer.

“Yourself” scans your own profile to make sure you’re not up to anything shady, and “Mentions” finds any spam directed at you.

“Manage Blocks” is pretty self explanatory, and where you can manage Facebook or Twitter users you have already blocked.

To help drive traffic to the campaign, there are links towards the bottom of the page to share how many “stains” were detected to Twitter, Facebook, Google+ and LinkedIn.

While Ajax isn’t necessarily offering anything new with its Social Wipes tool, it’s refreshing (no pun intended) to see something designed to help versus shove a product or service down someone’s throat.
